Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is a 2:1 mixture of de-ionized water and urea
By introducing the DEF and the ammonia (NH3) in the urea into the exhaust, harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) gets broken down into harmless water and nitrogen. DEF from different API-certified suppliers can be mixed, so your storage tank does not have to be cleaned before refilling. At Dawson Oil, DEF is available at the pump in any of our locations or by delivery in bulk, totes, drums, and cases for your convenience.
